ANDREW HAMILTON, CEO the Icehouse
Andrew Hamilton is the founding CEO of The ICEHOUSE. The ICEHOUSE is a business growth centre that creates learning environments for entrepreneurial firms to enable them to significantly grow their companies.
Since 2001, The ICEHOUSE has worked with 65 start-ups and just under 1,500 entrepreneurial firms. Together, they have raised close to $30m for these start-ups, and their owner managers are growing their EBIT on average 31% per annum.
Andrew will be speaking about how to work more economically, find ways to do things faster, create new products and services, and identify new niche markets.
CARLOS MARTINEZ, Microsoft evangelist
Carlos Miguel Martinez performs an evangelism role at Microsoft. He helps customers understand the
potential of technology and how Microsoft technologies can help power people to be more productive and
organisations to be more effective.
Carlos has a varied background having worked in accounting, operations, manufacturing, IT, marketing
and business development; in industries ranging from aviation and communications to telecommunications
and IT. Carlos has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a
Masters of Commerce in Marketing.
Carlos will be speaking about why capital investment is a major component to labour innovation;
how to influence smart investment decisions and the impact this has on real productivity gains;
and how to leverage current business assets.
GORDON TIETJENS, World beating NZ Sevens Coach
Gordon is considered to be one of the finest coaches of any sport in the world. His coaching and motivation of
the world champion rugby Sevens side has made him a legend in the sport. He has three Commonwealth Games
gold medals to prove it!
Gordon will speak about how to nurture the winning skills that are the key to improving both business capability
and productivity, and which can easily be translated into a small to medium sized business (SME) environment.
